A super top-up health plan covers the total hospital bills up to the limit specified in super top-up plan over & above the deductible amount. Once the deductible is paid, the super top-up policy becomes active for subsequent claims.
Example: If a person has a Super top-up plan of Rs 15 lakh and it has deductible limit of Rs 2 lakh then the super top-up policy will cover medical expenses over and above Rs 2 lakh. This deductible amount can be paid from your current health plan and the remaining will be paid by the super top-up insurer.
Customers who have already availed NTB_1999 cannot avail NTB Super top up combo. However, they can avail only Super top up by keeping NTB_1999 as a base policy or close the existing NTB_1999 and avail the combo.
